THE TRAGUS

A discreet and elegant piercing. Tragus refers to the small prominence of cartilage in front of the opening of the ear, indicating the piercing’s placement. The name stems from the Greek word ‘Tragos’ meaning “he-goat” and was allegedly influenced by Peloponnesian tragedies where satyrs were depicted as goatlike creatures with protruding ears that later became associated with features of our own.

Healing period: minimum of 6 months and up to 9-12 depending on your healing process. We recommend getting pierced in the fall so you’ll be ready in time for the beach season to start.

THE HELIX

A classic yet bold LINE&JO piercing referring to the incurved rim of cartilage in the external ear. The name Helix stems from Greek and was formerly used to describe the motion of rolling or wrapping, just like the surrounding anatomy of the piercing’s placement.

THE DOUBLE HELIX

For an even more eye-catching look try going for a double helix. Possible to get pierced as a pair or added to an already existing helix for a more elevated ear curation.

Healing period: minimum of 6 months and up to 9-12 depending on your healing process. We recommend getting pierced in the fall so you’ll be ready in time for the beach season to start.

THE ROOK

A more intricate and unique piercing placed on the upper ridge of the cartilage. The Rook originates from the 90’s piercing scene, with its name being coined by the piercer who developed the placement, Erik Dakota. Given its slightly more hidden placement, the Rook allows for more surprising stylings only to be revealed when turning to the side.

Healing period: minimum of 6 months and up to 9-12 depending on your healing process. We recommend getting pierced in the fall so you’ll be ready in time for the beach season to start.
