My Piercing Salon Story:
Katrine Krogh

In February, we had the pleasure of the wonderful Katrine Krogh in our Copenhagen piercing salon with support from both her lovely son and mother. After some thorough guidance from Filipa, our Head of Piercings, and a chat about possible placements whilst still accounting for the needs of mobility and rest whilst being a new mom, Katrine ended up expanding her current collection of piercings with a new lobe piercing - perfectly curated to match her existing ones. As for jewellery, Katrine went with the L. EDIAMOND 01, creating a unique pairing with her own moon earring.

Afterwards, we had the chance to catch up on Katrine's piercing journey as well as the sentiment of jewellery after entering motherhood.

When did you get your first piercing?
I got my first piercing when I was a teenager, but at some point, I decided to take it out and let it close up. I did however get back into piercings again about 5-6 years and got a few that I still have today, which Iโ€™m very happy about.

What considerations did you have prior to your piercing appointment, and what did you end up with?
I really wanted a piercing that could complement my existing ones while adding some more styling options for me. I was determined on getting another lobe piercing as a visual extension of my current one but was unsure of the exact placement and piece of jewellery. After some thorough guidance from Filipa, Head of Piercings, I ended up with a small diamond that goes perfectly with my moon, making them their own little curated piercing pair as a โ€œstar and moonโ€.
Do you have any jewellery that holds a special meaning?
I have many. One of them is my NANJA pearl necklace from LINE&JO which I wore during the birth of my son. It now holds an immense amount of meaning, making it completely unique in my collection. Becoming a mom has also changed my perspective on jewellery in general, as I now have become more aware of choosing pieces that can be passed down through generations, providing my jewellery with new memories and making them even more unique and personal.
